The Compounding Technician:
In the realm of pharmacy, there exists a specialized group of professionals whose craft blends the precision of science with the creativity of art – compounding technician. These highly skilled individuals play a vital role in healthcare by being the foundation that pharmacists depend on. Collaborating closely with pharmacists, providers, and patients alike, compounding technicians are essential in providing quality and diverse specialized medical interventions meticulously crafted to address unique patient needs.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. PTCB certification and state license, both active and in good standing. 3 years of pharmacy experience. Sterile compounding experience is a plus.
Language Skills:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, consumers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume. Ability to calculate and convert compounding formulas to assess standard deviation within the acceptable limit. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Active PTCB certification and state license issued by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy, both in good standing.
