Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Learning & Development Manager to sit in any of our LS3P offices. The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for improving the productivity of the firms' employees by enhancing employe engagement through career development. This position assesses firmwide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for LS3P professionals. This position actively researches, creatively collaborates to design training solutions, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance engagement, and recognize performance.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assesses training and development needs through research methods including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with LS3P leadership, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills development training for LS3P professionals.
  • Assists in creation of training and development programs and objectives that fulfill each LS3P professional's career path specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Manages the Learning @ LS3P (Absorb LMS) platform to house and assign training courses and programs created to align with the Designing Your Career @ LS3P Career Paths.
  • Partners with and coaches People Manager and others involved in employee development efforts.
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications such as FRANK posts or firmwide emails to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Works effectively as a team member with other members of LS3P leadership, management, and the People Team.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Assesses training materials prepared by instructors.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Modifies programs as needed.
  • Exemplifies the mission, vision, and values of LS3P.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and LMS platforms.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.
