LSEG has an immediate opening for a Full Stack Engineer. We're building the next generation of capital markets technology. Global capital markets are an ocean of fast-moving, interrelated and complex data. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic problem-solvers with an interest in capital markets data to join us as we continue providing technology innovation and support to the world's leading global capital markets companies.Your strategic roleThe Full Stack Engineer will help develop clean, powerful, and user-friendly user interfaces and the associated AWS backend components which will be used by the US Government, professional financial users, modelers and other clients. This role will also develop system administrator-facing tools and associated backend components to manage internal processes.The considerable complexity of capital markets technology, along with the premium placed on high-integrity, low-latency data, demands that the engineer quickly attain and understand the nuance of LSEG's proprietary data delivery platform. The candidate must also have the easy personal skills required to interact with engineers on the customer side.Work qualifications
US Citizen eligible for US Government Security Clearance
Ability to write clean and functional code on both the front-end and back-end
Excellent communication skills and experience mentoring others
Ability to use out-of-the-box UI development framework tools and integrate them into existing solutions
Significant knowledge of current software design patterns
Participation in the technical design of applications and in larger system design efforts
Required skills
5-7 years of software development experience
2 years hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React and NodeJS
3 years hands-on experience with server-side web application development and SQL
Basic knowledge of Python, Jupyter, and a desire to learn more
Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms, such as AWS, GCP or Azure
Knowledge of associated web development processes and technologies
Knowledge of both unit and functional testing using Jest, Cypress, or other similar technologies
Nice to haves
An understanding of financial markets and instruments
Experience with visualization libraries (for example, D3.js)
Experience with distributed systems
Compensation/Benefits Information:
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $84,200.00 - $156,600.00.Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
