Logistic Specialties, Inc. (LSI), the Aviation Logistics Support Contractor for the CAL FIRE Aviation Management Unit (AMU), is seeking a Senior Inventory Supervisor. LSI manages and operates the Procurement Department, Parts Rooms, Warehouse, Repair Logistics Oversight, and Industrial Safety/HazMat program for CAL FIRE AMU's aircraft maintenance facility.Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Logistical Support Manager, the Senior Inventory Supervisor oversees parts room and warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient logistical support for aviation management. Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the liaison for all parts room and warehouse transactions.
Representing the Parts Room, Warehouse and Procurement in management meetings and coordinating with CAL FIRE staff on inventory forecasting and maintenance.
Overseeing shipping and receiving of new, used, damaged, and repaired aircraft parts and related materials.
Ensuring accuracy of parts numbers and all other information entered into the AMU logistical database through daily counts, weekly verified audits, and properly scanned paperwork.
Ensure that all documentation is accurately disseminated using the software systems to both the State and Contractors for accounting purposes.
Coordinating with CAL FIRE maintenance and Aircraft Services Contractor’s Quality Control personnel to ensure compliance with FAA and MILSPEC requirements.
Ensuring compliance with the CAL FIRE Repair Station Manual.
Accurately maintain consumable and rotables inventory levels as directed by CAL FIRE Aviation Officers.
Collaborating with logisticians, procurement, and shipping/receiving teams to ensure timely processing of orders, work stoppages, and core returns.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid California driver’s license.
U.S. Citizenship.
Successful completion of a drug and background screen.
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in inventory management, including receipt, storage, handling, packing, and shipping of stock, or two (2) years’ experience in a lead capacity within the Aviation Management Unit’s warehouse or parts room.
Two (2) years’ experience with the Aviation Management Unit’s computerized inventory system.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
