LSUHSC New Orleans is Hiring a RESIDENCY COORDINATOR - RADIOLOGY Near Orleans, LA

Overview:

Under the general direction of the Residency Program Director, the incumbent will support the Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology (IR/DR) residency program and Residents on all Graduate Medical Education (GME) matters. Under the general direction of the Fellowship Program Directors, the incumbent will support the fellowship programs and fellows on all Graduate Medical Education (GME) matters. Manage and oversee training program compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation standards, LSUHSC-NO policies and procedures, and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the GME Office and the Program Director to provide appropriate oversight of the program(s) to ensure compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) common program requirements and specialty-specific program requirements.
  • Establish and create the residency/fellowship program orientation. Prepare departmental handbook for orientation. Serve as event manager for the complete orientation week. Coordinate the preparation of teaching materials and handbooks.
  • Establish and create the interview infrastructure for individual program specifics including but not be limited to initial review and screening of all applicants to determine program eligibility and interview potential based on defined program guidelines.
  • Design informational materials including newsletters, brochures, training materials, and manuals, as appropriate to the program.
  • Develop, organize and work independently to initiate all elements necessary for a program site visit including program application, setting the agenda, data collection and analysis, and handling all logistics for the day of the visit and reviewer requests.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years of professional level work experience

Pay: $48,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
