Division Manager

To ensure success as a Division Manager, you should have excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to identify division problems and solve them quickly and efficiently. Ultimately, the Division Manager should have a strong working knowledge of management best practices and the ability to motivate and support division personnel.

Division Manager Responsibilities:

• Working with the financial department to plan and develop each division's budget.

• Evaluating the division's performance and identifying areas of improvement.

• Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals, ensure their completion, and accomplish your own goals.

• Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively.

• Providing technical direction and professional support to division personnel.

• Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.

• Prepare regular reports for senior management.

• Review office operations and report any issues to senior management.

• Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved.

• Assisting with employee recruitment, as well as overseeing the onboarding process and training of new division staff members.

Division Manager Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience and proven success in a management role.

• A background in metal resurfacing, and machine shop/job shop services is preferred.

• Excellent knowledge of management best practices and strong managerial skills.

• Exceptional decision-making ability.

• Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable.

• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

• Solid working knowledge of operational procedures.
