ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech’s Purpose, Promises and Values.
  • Performs Continuous Improvement repairs to increase efficiency of operations.
  • Maintains spare part inventories, alerts manager when more parts are needed.
  • Performs preventive maintenance for facility assets.
  • Troubleshoots production and facility equipment, assists with changeover operations as needed.
  • Assists engineering and management in data collection and analysis.
  • Performs facility maintenance.
  • Assists in technical training for both Maintenance personnel and production team members.
  • Assists with Health, Safety and Environmental duties, audits, as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with production staff, management and contractors.
  • Utilizes CMMS software to effectively manage work order submittals, approvals, and closures.
  • Provides an emphasis on safety to ensure compliance with all pertinent government regulations and provide a safe environment for employees.
  • Minimal travel required for this position.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM (Overview & Key Responsibilities):

The Maintenance Technician performs day-to-day tasks to ensure safe, efficient execution of production operations. This position conducts line upgrades, troubleshoots, handles repairs and performs preventative maintenance.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience and/or Training:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ manufacturing experience, preferably in maintenance.

License/ Certification

  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Gearbox rebuilding, pump rebuilding, compressor maintenance, boiler maintenance, assembly/disassembly of complex production machines
  • Electrical Aptitude: Motor wiring, understanding of 3 phase/single phase electricity, VFDs, PLCs, electrically actuated valves
  • Understanding of KPIs and manufacturing processes
  • General Quality & Safety Awareness
  • Understanding of Lean Principles
  • Strong communication & organizational skills
  • Basic Microsoft office proficiency

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Physical demands: sitting, walking, twisting, squatting, reclining, climbing, kneeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, repetitive motion etc.
  • Mental Demands: Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex or varied tasks, relate to others, influence people, make decisions, direct, control, plan, interact with public or coworkers in written form, communicate orally, etc.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Environmental demands: Extreme cold or heat, noise, vibration, exposure to dust.)
