SUMMARY

The line / prep cook is responsible for maintaining our excellent standards in food safety, cleanliness and sanitation. A strong focus is placed on food quality and consistency.

The line cook / dishwasher must also care for and continually strive for professional development and training.

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in an exemplary fashion
• Focus on clean dishes and dish room
• Focus on preparation and assembly of menu item plating and presentation
• Adherence to our BOH systems and procedures
• Exceptionally fresh and craveable food served daily
• Ensuring that everyone who comes through our doors gets to Taste the Love!
• Passionate about great food, whether eating, preparing, or sharing
• Holds self accountable to our standards of excellence
• Communicates and works well with others - good team orientation
• Works with sense of urgency

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will possess at least 90% of the following :

• Integrity, honesty, accountability, a passion for excellence and an incapability of making excuses for anything less than excellence
• A natural surplus of hospitality extended to guests, employees and vendors no matter the circumstances
• An unusually attentive focus on details and a compulsive desire to make even the smallest details perfect
• Above all, a desire to be the best
• Excellent communication skills required
• Kitchen experience is preferred, but not required

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is required to be on feet for a large portion of the day / shift.
• The employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls;

Must be able to sustain constant mental and visual attention

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Kitchen environment, including hot areas, hot tools, hot plates, sharp knives and tools
• Flexible schedule can vary from week to week; work required on weekends and holidays
