1. SCOPE and PURPOSE:
   1. This job description applies to all activities and guidelines for operations performed by the Plating Operator. This job description shall be reviewed on a regular basis.
2. JOB SUMMARY:
   1. Follow required procedures necessary to apply plating to finished products. 
3. RESPONSIBILITIES:
   • Move parts on carts from staging area to plating line
   • Load parts into baskets to be submerged in a series of solutions to complete the plating process, following specific timing guidelines for each batch.
   • Hand-dip threaded parts into appropriate coating solution.
   • Load completed parts onto a cart and move the cart to the staging area for final inspection.
   • Empty used solutions from vats and follow appropriate disposal procedures for each.
   • Monitor process rinse flows and secure rinses when plating line is not running.
   • Use a forklift to move bulk chemical in/out of storage to fill tanks
   • Follow process work instructions
4. ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:
   • Regardless of other duties, the Plating Operator has a responsibility to follow LUFKIN production, safety, and quality procedures.
5. REQUIREMENTS:
   • Education and Training: High School education or equivalent or as deemed sufficient by management.
   • Technical Requirements: Working knowledge of manufacturing environment; forklift certification.
   • Experience: At least one years’ experience, or as deemed sufficient by management
