Currently, they are seeking a dedicated Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Santa Barbara, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company policies, processes, and compliance standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes
  • Develop, document, and optimize engineering processes
  • Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to project success
  • Participate in Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes
  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering efforts
  • Implement Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Reliability, and Service (DFx) principles
  • Conduct process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) activities
  • Generate and present progress reports, metrics, and documentation
  • Develop quality inspection plans and first article documents
  • Support supply chain improvement projects and production goals
  • Design, test, and qualify product and production improvements
  • Address end-of-life (EOL) component issues and improve documentation
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and CAPA processes
  • Troubleshoot and test electromechanical and electrical assemblies
  • Enhance uptime for production test equipment and tooling
  • Initiate and contribute to product quality improvement activities

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Robotics Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in electrical/electronic circuit component selection and testing
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOM)
  • Competence in writing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and work instructions
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex electromechanical assemblies
  • Capability to work in a Clean Room Environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • 3D CAD design experience and familiarity with GD&T
  • Knowledge of DFx, DFMEA, and PFMEA techniques
  • Previous involvement in NPI processes and project management
  • Proficiency in software tools like Solidworks or SolidEdge
