Senior Power Electronics Engineer / Energy / Irvine, CA

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll develop electrical power systems. This position requires an understanding of complex electrical high voltage systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering and installation of High Voltage electrical systems.
• Define electrical architecture and one-line diagrams.
• Working with electrical equipment; cable sizing, calculations, electrical studies.
• Lead hardware engineering activities, working closely with mechanical engineering team.
• Integration of mechanical components into electrical systems.

Experience Required:

• 5 years experience in development of electrical High Voltage systems.
• Electrical Power Systems experience, i.e. ETAP, SKM etc.
• Protection and Control Systems experience.
• Electrical Communication Standards, Distributed Network Protocols (DNP), International Electrotechnical Commission's (IEC).
• Power Conversion: AC-DC, DC-DC.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Great communication, organization and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering
• PE Certification (preferred) – Professional Engineer
