LUMIN is Hiring a Hardware Department Technician Near Charlottesville, VA
The Role: As the Hardware Department Technician at Lumin, you will build and test hardware assemblies to ensure our family of products delight the customer, meet functional requirements, and advance the future of energy management solutions. You will collaborate with Engineers on building test fixtures for manufacturing, product prototypes, and test environments for other departments. You'll be responsible for:
Build, assemble, or re-work assemblies for prototyping or testing purposes.
Generate documentation for and perform quality and design testing.
Work with manufacturing and customer support to resolve product issues.
Work with testing laboratories towards obtaining product certifications.
What you bring to the table:
At least two years of experience as a Technician or equivalent.
Experience with hardware prototyping techniques such as SLA printing, cable assembly construction, and wiring breadboard circuits.
Experience using PCB workstation tools and equipment.
Experience using Electrical Laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.
Familiarity with Altium Designer or another ECAD tool.
Familiarity with OnShape or another MCAD tool.
This role will be expected to make one or two trips to contract manufacturing facilities, in coordination between the employee and manager. This position is located in Charlottesville, VA, and requires the employee to be on-site, however, Lumin is flexible with working from home where possible.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $52,000-$75,000 equity benefits. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands, and years of experience.
