About The RoleAs a Software Development Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring successful product delivery of our Mobile Video applications for Transit.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead the agile scrum team and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Product Backlog Management: Work with product managers to break down business requirements to user stories and manage the technical product backlog.
- Project Delivery: Oversee sprint and release planning, execution, and delivery to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
- Product Quality: Drive initiatives to improve product quality, resilience and scalability
- Customer Success: Work closely with infrastructure, support, field teams and customers to ensure successful product rollout and prompt resolution of support issues.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 10 years of software development experience, including leadership roles
- Skills:
- Proficiency in:
- Software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
- Full stack technical decision-making, build vs buy decisions
- Scale, resilience and performance optimization.
- Experience with:
- Backend software development
- Relational (SQL) database technologies
- Transport protocols such as SFTP, HTTPS and networking technologies.
- Experience in cloud environments, event driven microservices architectures including Docker, Kubernetes
- Implementing DevOps tools and practices
- Experienced with building IoT applications, Video management or streaming systems and/or products for transportation industry
- Hands on experience as Product Owner/Scrum Master and technical leadership of functions like Architecture/DevOps/SRE
- Experience with leading a diverse global team
