Assurance Specialist I - Temporary Part Time

***Temp and part-time – 20 hours/week for 6 months

Job Overview:

Work with Quality Managers and operations in developing effective quality plans to projects and assist in execution of the plan. Oversight through reviews, audits, and surveillance. The proper implementation and performance of the Lummus Quality Management System (LQMS). Assist in maintaining and implementing the LQMS. Completes assignments and support the work activities of others. Proposes improvements to processes and methods.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Verify implementation of the design and development of LQMS and ensure activities are completed as scheduled.
• Assist in preparation of quality KPIs and reports.
• Assist in updating/voiding/creating the process and procedures needed by the functional teams for their effective performance.
• Analyze the documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
• Assist with root cause analysis and compilation of reports.
• Create and maintain LQMS documents such as work instructions, procedures, policies, work process, etc.
• Assure the LQMS is an effective communication and knowledge retention tool.
• Provide guidance and coaching to personnel to ensure Quality is achieved.
• Update and maintain quality database/platform.
• Supports LQMS through various quality initiatives.
• Demonstrating solid and consistent communication within and across functions, with the ability to influence personnel to use / incorporate quality management methods.
• Support and facilitate the modifications of documents to make them easier to understand.
• Other assignments as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree preferred; experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• 2 to 5 years of experience working with Quality Management System standards.

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills (work with multiple functions in a professional, insightful and effective manner).
• Demonstrate decision making skills.
• Understanding of QA principles.
• Must be able to demonstrate intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding and practical use of QA principals.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to self-manage and achieve required deliverables.
