Job Overview :

The Make Ready Specialist is responsible for preparing vacant apartment for market ready conditions. The Make Ready Specialist is responsible for various non-technical maintenance issues such as painting, drywall repair, caulking to ensure apartment homes are move in ready residents.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare vacant apartments for market ready conditions according to Steward Helm's standards.
• Perform various non-technical functions such as maintaining exterior lighting, ground equipment repair, preventative maintenance, caulking, touch up painting, pool maintenance, lock repairs, etc.
• Escalates maintenance issues and / or concerns to supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and refers to supervisor.
• Follow Company procedures regarding the use of tools and equipment.
• Complete all required logs, paperwork and checklists regarding inventory and / or hazardous chemicals.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintains a safe work environment.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule which may include working special events and / or weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in maintenance field or related area.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management skills : ability to prioritize work functions and keep track of activities completed and yet to do.
• Regular attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
• Shows concern for quality, accuracy and completeness of assigned work duties.
