Job DescriptionJob Summary: Under the immediate direction of the Operations Manager, Lab Technical Coord is responsible for coordination of technical operations in their assigned area; to include pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases in addition to QA monitoring and documentation of all laboratory processes and testing of patient specimens. Responsibilities include patient testing, evaluating new assays and/or equipment, successful proficiency challenges, training and competency assessment of laboratory staff in technical operations and monitoring staff participation in QA programs. Works in conjunction with the general laboratory supervisor to oversee the laboratory in his/her absence and to assure a focus and commitment to the laboratory’s goals and mission.
Minimal Acceptable Job QualificationsLicensureEducation/Registration/Certification: Minimum requirements are consistent with CLIA regulatory guidelines
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years recent clinical laboratory experience with progressively more responsibility in a specified department or area of the laboratory operations.
