Full time, 40 hours/week; Hours: 6pm-2:30am M-F

Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Clinical Coordinator of Sterile Processing, performs duties of sterile processing and inventory management staff while providing leadership and guidance on a day-to-day basis to same. Sterilizes, cleans, wraps, stores and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment used in patient care. Leads the work of others. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a Manager. High school diploma or equivalent and1-3 years of related experience, previous lead experience preferred. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications
Registration/Certification/Licensure: Has passed the CRCST exam and continues annual certification accumulating 12 CEU’s per year.
Experience: Two to three years' experience in central service processing or distribution.
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED).
Job Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
Demonstrates strong working knowledge of patient supply processing, set-up and distribution.
Requires strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills to assemble patient care supply, instrument sets, specialty carts and surgery tables to meet particular unit and physician needs and follow up as needed to address related concerns, as well as to monitor staff activities and prepare related documentation.
Exhibits leadership, group cohesion and communication skills promoting teamwork and group achievement.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers, as needed for effective team leader role.
