Lutheran Home is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our Adult Day Services team! The Program Coordinator will develop and implement activity programming for our early memory loss participants as a part of the “Mind Effects” program within our adult day program. Interested candidates should be patient, creative, flexible and dedicated to our mission and “4 C’s.”

Lutheran Home’s Adult Day Program provides daytime activity programming and support services to individuals with early memory loss and/or physical limitations. The program provides an environment focused on inclusivity and safety for participants during the day. The Mind Effects program supplements this purpose by providing stimulating activity program geared towards the early memory loss participants.

Essential duties include:

• Identify and develop appropriate activity programming
• Monitor and support participant involvement in activities
• Facilitate group activities 
• Create monthly/weekly activity calendar
• Assist at onsite events and offsite outings

Hours for the position are Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No holidays and no on-call hours!

Requirements for the position:

• Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with the senior population; dementia care experience is preferred
• Ability to develop and nurture professional and educational relationships with staff members, participants and clients
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
