Family Support Workers (FSW) offer home visits to expectant parents and caregivers of small children, providing parenting education, support, and advocacy. Family Support Workers link parents to resources, promote optimal child health and development, and problem solve with parents. Family needs and abilities are evaluated on an ongoing basis. Family Support Workers assist families in designing individualized support plans and empower families overtime to achieve their chosen goals. Our home visitation program is part of a nationwide initiative designed to empower families to become and remain healthy and strong.
What You'll NeedAssociates Degree in a health, education, or human service related field required. Bachelors Degreed preferred. In addition, qualified applicants will have one year of related experience working with children and families.
Bilingual Spanish-English speaking preferred.
