The Staff Accountant’s primary responsibilities will include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. Candidate will assist the Controller as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Prepare journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations
Assist with month end closing process
Oversee Fixed Asset and Capital Expenditure tracking
Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets, project budgets, and performance projections
Maintain documentation for accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy.
Meet processing and reporting deadlines
Respond to ad hoc information request in a timely fashion, review financial statements and assist with audits
Ensure compliance with GAAP
Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.
Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred
Working knowledge of job costing
2 Years of Accounting experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Working knowledge of GAAP, FX translation, multi-company environments
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proficient with Spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, SUMIFS)
