GENERAL FUNCTION
The Cost Planning Manager supports the North America Contact Center Operations and Leadership teams with the management of the overall plan to spend, proper assessment of cost implications related to attrition, training, service key performance indicators, new business, and projects. This role is responsible for planning a full scope global budget across multiple units, maintaining financial records, and communicating all relevant variables related to the budget including vendor billing, allocation of monies, as well as costs associated with any new incoming business or changes in current businesses. This role will apply their mathematical and analytical skills along with strong business knowledge to assess cost challenges and develop recommendations to mitigate risks, reduce cost where appropriate while working with other experienced professionals.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the overall spending budget for the NACC
  • Responsible for planning a full scope budget plan and monthly/quarterly spend forecasts based on direct labor, indirect labor, and other variables
  • Provide cost planning recommendations to the NACC Leadership regarding risks and challenges and provide coherent insight with proposed ways to mitigate cost risks
  • Provide recommendations for continued process changes and improvements in productivity and efficiency to reduce spending
  • Manage all costs associated with contractual agreements or performance guarantees
  • Manage monthly accruals and cost allocations to all lines of business supported by the NACC
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for cost avoidance, and process and control improvements
  • Prepare documentation and analytical reports that effectively summarize results, assumptions, and conclusions
  • Monitor spend, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
  • Ensure quality reporting of monthly spend, validating results to deliver a high degree of confidence in the final outcomes
  • Maintain comprehensive inventory of all reports relative to the budget and the respective components and associated data sources
  • Performs ad-hoc reporting and cost analysis, creating new visuals based on requestor inputs and needs
  • Manage relationships with external vendors regarding, performance bonuses and penalties, spending expectations, and proper invoicing
  • Manage relationships with internal finance teams, accounts payable teams, workforce management, business intelligence, training, and operational leaders to gain alignment on expected spend and proper categorization of costs
  • Maintain and publish standard financial planning reports
  • Provide support and mentor cost planning administrators and analysts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • College degree in Mathematics, Finances, Business Management or other related fields
  • 5 years of work experience in financial planning and vendor billing
  • High degree of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity, tenacious decision maker
  • Excellent prioritization, preparation, organization, and detail management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to quickly identify obstacles & develop solutions
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strategic, independent and progressive thinker
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or relevant field
  • Proficiency in Oracle Essbase
  • 7 years of work experience in financial planning and vendor billing management
