LVI Associates is Hiring a Roadway Design Project Manager Near Chicago, IL

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Design Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Chicago. As the Roadway Design Project Manager, you will lead and manage the design and delivery of roadway projects from inception through completion. This role requires strong technical expertise in roadway design, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage roadway design projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to gather necessary data for project planning and design.
  • Develop design concepts, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway improvement and construction projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met and all requirements are fulfilled.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present project updates, proposals, and reports to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Illinois.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in roadway design and project management, preferably in an engineering consulting environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of local and state regulations, codes, and standards related to roadway design.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
