Water/Wastewater Project Engineer - HYBRID

Qualifications:

1. Professional Engineer (PE) License: Required in California as a Civil or Mechanical Engineer, or eligible to obtain within 6 months.
2. Experience: 8 years in planning and designing water/wastewater infrastructure, covering distribution, conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities.
3. Driver's License: Must have a valid license with a good driving record.
4. Background: Preferably includes project experience and process knowledge related to water/wastewater facilities with municipal, state, and water districts.
5. Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), including scheduling programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Planning and Design: Includes design aspects such as distribution and transmission mains, wastewater collection systems, pumping stations, storage tanks, civil grading, drainage, and infrastructure rehabilitation.
2. Engineering Practices: Ensure adherence to standard engineering practices and thorough documentation on reports and design projects.
3. Technical Evaluation: Assess alternatives, resolve technical issues, and collaborate across engineering disciplines.
4. Team Coordination: Work within a design team to resolve queries, plan, and coordinate project tasks.
5. Construction Support: Provide support during construction, including reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information (RFIs), and evaluating change order requests.
