The Merchandise Allocator is responsible for allocations to stores and providing organizational support to the Merchandising team. The long-term temporary position is based in New York City. Must be able to work M- F (40 hours per week).

*Inventory/Stock Management:*

* Allocate merchandise to stores according to warehouse and store inventory levels

* Assist Merchandising team in product consolidations as needed

* Liaison between Logistics team & warehouse on receiving and shipping updates

*Reporting:*

* Perform weekly reporting duties and analysis as directed

* Assist with daily Merchandising responsibilities, including: building, editing and creating buybooks; product lifestyle management process;

* Assist in elaborating Merchandising and Training seasonal tools

*Special Projects:*

* Support with all merchandising communications in partnership with the buyers for the retail stores, including pricing updates for outlets, product knowledge, and additional ad hoc necessities

* Support with preparation for market and during market with an understanding of business needs

* Perform any special projects or tasks as directed by Manager/Mentor

***Qualifications***

* 2 years of related experience

* Proficient computer skills; utilize Excel and other various software packages to create reports; proficiency in Excel is required

* Have a passion for the fashion and luxury-goods industry

* Possess problem solving skills

* Organization and time management skills; ability to manage tight deadlines

* Proficient in retail math

* Ability to perform sales and market analysis
