LX Pantos America, Inc. is Hiring a Human Resources Compliance Specialist Near Englewood, NJ

For the HR Compliance Specialist position, this role will require creating and maintaining policies and procedures. The position will plan, direct, or coordinate activities for the company to ensure compliance are within ethical and regulatory standards including ACA, HIPAA, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to review the maintenance of required compliance documentation internal control practices are in accordance with applicable laws and regulation
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Ensure that employee personnel records are in accordance and compliance to local/state/federal laws.
  • Maintains compliance with I-9 Records and E-Verification requirements
  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
  • File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
  • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
  • Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
  • Provide employee training on policies and procedures.
  • Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
  • Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees.
  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the impact of these changes on organizational processes.
  • Advise internal management on the implementation or operation of compliance programs.
  • Consult with corporate attorneys as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues.
  • Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout the organization.
  • Align the direction, development, implementation and integration of coordinated HR strategies and programs along with HR centers of expertise to align with division/location objectives (Recruiting, Compensation, Talent)
  • Monitors, reviews, and reports on federal, state, and local legislative changes including DOT, USCIS, OFCCP, EEO, VEVRAA, and Affirmative Action practices and trends

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3~5 years’ experience of compliance related issues
  • SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus but not required
  • Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus but not required
  • Solid communication, listening and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, completing assignments on-time and with accuracy
  • Understands importance of process controls and compliance risk
  • Able to travel (10~25%)
