Lynden Logistics, Inc. is Hiring an IT Infrastructure - Cyber Security Analyst II Near Seattle, WA

Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst II to work as part of our SeaTac based team. You will be diving into the operational side of things, keeping our digital defenses up to par under the watchful eye of the Director of Infrastructure & Cyber Security. Think of yourself as the go-to for managing and fine-tuning the security tools and strategies that keep us safe. With your experience in the cyber trenches and a bunch of certifications (or just some solid know-how), you will have the freedom to make calls on the fly, work with teams across the company, and pass on your wisdom to the up-and-comers on our team. This is not a safety sensitive position.

  • Review and monitor information security trends, internal and external to Lynden.
  • Keep management informed about information security-related issues and activities that may affect the organization.
  • Be on the lookout for potential security threats, track system vulnerabilities, and report on any risks that might compromise our information security posture.
  • Offer advanced information security expertise and recommendations as a key contributor to project teams, ensuring robust security practices are integrated throughout project lifecycles.
  • Actively engaged in the execution of detailed IT risk assessments and security testing protocols. Scrutinize audit outcomes to formulate and recommend strategies for acceptable risk levels and the development of effective risk mitigation measures.
  • Perform detailed assessments of current security measures and proactively suggest improvements to strengthen our strategies for mitigating risks.
  • Dive into in-depth exploration and evaluation of the latest advancements in information security tech. Run tests and provide insight on rolling out new or improved security hardware or software. Assess how these changes might affect our existing set-up and give advice on how to smoothly incorporate these tools into our system.
  • Get involved in keeping Lynden’s IT Security Incident Response Plan in good shape and take an active role in putting it into action when needed.
  • Participate in the creation and management of information security policies, standards and procedures that address identified risks and business security requirements.
  • Work alongside the team to manage and deliver information security communications, raise awareness, and facilitate training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the team to keep a keen eye on our security metrics that showcase our wins and highlight areas for enhancements. Also, stay on top of documenting any security incidents or issues that arise.
What We Need From You
  • 5 to 7 years of post-graduate working experience and/or education in information security, information technology or related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree in cyber security
What Would Be Nice For You To Have
  • Information Security related certification and/or educational degree (GSEC, CCNA - Security, Security , CEH, SSCP, GCIH)
  • Knowledge of security, system log and alert implementation, monitoring, and response
  • Knowledge of web security - OWASP
  • Vulnerability scanning and result interpretation experience.
  • Application technology security testing
  • System technology security testing (penetration testing)
  • Scripting skills – PowerShell, Shell, Perl and/or Python
  • UEBA Solution deployment and management
