Our client, a food distributor and supplier is looking to hire an Order Selector for their location in New Windsor, MD. The ideal candidate must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.

The primary function of this position is to select cases, bags, and other containers of refrigerated foods (meat, dairy, produce) to fill customer orders from multi-level rack storage systems.

Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric Power Jack, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment.

Dry goods area, a cooler area, and a freezer (-10 degrees F).

The Day-to-Day :

• Review the work schedule, obtain the Vox audio communication system, tools, and supplies required to perform the work, and prepare for operations.
• Perform a safety check on the Power Jack / Forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Place pallets on Forklift / Power Jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets or Vox Audio Communication System (where available).
• Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallets from 1st and 2nd-level racks as required.
• Transport completed palletized customer orders to the shipping dock staging area.
• Ensure count accuracy, record counts on appropriate forms and visually inspect for damaged product.
• Hand wrap completed pallet / customer order, label, and ready the order for shipment.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock, keep work areas clear and clean, and complete work sheets' documentation as required.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
• Inspect empty pallets for damage, and stack and move pallets with Power Jack or Forklift to the proper storage area.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma
• Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift, and RF Scanner experience.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
Pay Rate / Shifts :
• $21.00 / hr
• $21.00 / hr
• Sunday to Thursday
• 3 : 30 PM to finish (Tuesday's start time is 6 : 00 PM)
