Our client, a high-end designer and screen printer in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating printing presses and ensuring the quality of printed materials. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a strong understanding of design principles.

Responsibilities :

• Machine setup and operation including screen and fixture installation.
• Securing silk screens onto machine pallets using bolts and hand tools, and installing and adjusting workpiece holding fixtures, stops, and guides.
• Attach squeegees to pneumatic drive mechanisms using wrenches and connect air lines.
• Regulate air pressure and adjust squeegee pressure and sweep angle.
• Apply printing inks to screens using spatulas or brushes.
• Position workpieces in holding fixtures, lower screens, and activate squeegees.
• Monitor the printing process to identify and correct defects.
• Maintenance and adjustments including cleaning screens using brushes and screen wash cleaner.
• Make minor adjustments to the machine to ensure optimal operation.
• Work with the team to meet quality and quantity production goals.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
• Adapt to changing job priorities without disrupting team dynamics.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3 years in a screen printing or related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Comfortable using hand tools and equipment related to screen printing.
• Proficient in using tape measures and other measurement tools.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Continuous use of hands for lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items (10-25 lbs.).
• Capable of handling weights up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
