Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards
- Investigate and respond to complaints regarding environmental health hazards
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate workplace hazards and promote a safe working environment
- Provide guidance and training to employees on occupational health and safety practices
- Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions, including air quality, noise levels, and hazardous materials handling
- Prepare detailed reports on findings, violations, and recommendations for corrective action
- Collaborate with management to develop and revise safety policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with changes in workers compensation laws and regulations
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- Proven experience working as an Environmental Health Officer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) regulations and standards
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
- Familiarity with workers compensation laws and procedures
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, or related emergency response training is preferred
