LYON is Hiring a Material Handler Near Paris, IL
Essential duties & responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Operate power truck & hand lift trucks, high lift, order picker or proper equipment needed to move materials between operations & departments
- Requires recognition of different customer orders, assembling orders for shipment, recording shipment data, verification of packing lists, & bill of lading as needed
- Maintains tracking of purchase order quantities, receiving & unpacking material & supplies
- Reports damages & discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, & record-keeping purposes
- Follow established safety practices in moving material, restacking unsafe loads as necessary
- Maintain all work areas in a clean & orderly manner, placing material in designated areas
- Follow prescribed safety practices
- Place trucks on charge & notify maintenance/supervisor of repairs or service
- Required to stand, walk, crouch, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls.

Qualifications:
- Able to read, write, & follow instructions
- Ability to communicate well with others
- Excellent attendance
- Previous manufacturing experience helpful but not required
- General mathematical knowledge & proficiency with basic measuring instruments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
