We are actively seeking a fabrication supervisor to help deliver a positive attitude while optimizing efficiency for the Watseka, Illinois facility.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule activities of workers engaged in punch press, press brake, assembly and shearing operations.
- Inspect work in process to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adheres to work schedules.
- Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating them to employees
- Organizing workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
- Overseeing and coaching employees
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
- Check production output according to specifications
- Submit reports on performance and progress
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards

Skills
- Ability to guard confidential data

- Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
- Experience in metal fabrication, welding and assembly
- Organizational and leadership abilities

- Experience in Lean manufacturing
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Problem-solving skills
- Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field
- Equivalent of 5-10 years fabrication supervisory experience
