We're looking for an experienced and highly skilled financial expert to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting administration and operations, project management functions, and financial reporting for our organization. This position requires a candidate with strong communication skills, mid to expert-level MS Excel knowledge, and the ability to work within agile frameworks.
Requirements Security Clearance: -- SECRET REQUIRED --Education:A Bachelor's degree and 6-10 years of experience or a Master's degree and 5 years of experience
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Mid to expert-level MS Excel knowledge and abilities
  • Self-starter attitude with a focus on organization, coordination, process management, and multi-tasking
  • Proficient in using MS Office and Qlik in Advana or recommending new tools that are compliant with Impact Level IV and can be deployed on the DoDIN
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework
  • Experience working within high technology areas, including computer science, data science, autonomy, and artificial intelligence
  • Understanding of requirements to support drafting of performance work statements for government review
  • Ability to monitor contract burn down based on actual invoices and offer comparisons
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members, both internally and externally, to maintain strong communication and build lasting relationships
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive budget and project management tracking tools using MS Excel and other software as needed, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail
  • Generate weekly and monthly financial reports and presentations in a consistent format to demonstrate change over time
  • Work within agile frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework
  • Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) and take the initiative to develop novel approaches to execution and tracking
  • Support projects in high technology areas, including computer science, data science, autonomy, and artificial intelligence, by drafting performance work statements for government review
  • Monitor contract burn down of various performers and offer comparisons based on actual invoices and accounting system data
Major Duties:
  • Provide administrative and operational support for our organization, including managing schedules, calendars, databases, documents, data input, reporting, and document control
  • Create, maintain, and organize financial information using existing tools or recommending new ones that are compliant with Impact Level IV and can be deployed on the DoDIN
  • Ensure accurate financial information is maintained and current year funds are responsibly expended as early as possible
  • Trace expenditures to projects and programs and ensure burn down dates are apparent in standardized reports and analysis
  • Assist in planning, developing, testing, and documenting projects, applying business process improvement practices, modernizing projects, acquisition process/planning, and reengineering old methodologies/principles
  • Support agency teams in the development and management of project milestones, goals, and deliverables
  • Build strategies and create documentation on current organizational financial processes for potential automation, formalizing task management, and sharing across larger programs
  • Suggest more efficient ways to run the Division's finances and interactions with CDAO budget and acquisition teams and troubleshoot any malfunctions that may arise
  • Understand Division priorities and inform leadership of things requiring immediate attention versus those that may solve themselves in a day or two
  • Prepare presentations and reports for leadership approval and collaboration, scheduling meetings to solicit feedback
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with all parties to gain resolution to unresolved financial issues and prepare leadership with recommended talking points.
