We are currently searching for a Quality Control Inspector for our customer in the Romeo, MI area.
This is a contract-to-direct opportunity with a growing defense manufacturing company.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and compliance of products in adherence to industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing process, ensuring that products meet or exceed the required standards for safety, reliability, and performance.
Inspection And TestingConduct thorough inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing devices, to verify dimensions, tolerances, and other critical parameters.
Document ReviewReview and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to understand product specifications and quality requirements.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, non-conformance's, and corrective actions.
Compliance AssuranceMonitor and enforce adherence to industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that manufacturing processes comply with relevant quality management systems.
Root Cause AnalysisInvestigate and analyze non-conformance's, defects, and deviations to identify root causes and contribute to the development of corrective and preventive actions.
Quality Control ProceduresAssist in the development, implementation, and improvement of quality control procedures and processes.
Provide input to the continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Supplier Quality ManagementWork closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components, and collaborate on resolving quality issues.
Conduct supplier audits as needed to assess and monitor supplier quality performance.
Training And DevelopmentProvide training to production personnel on quality control procedures and the importance of compliance with established standards.
Stay informed about advancements in quality control technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications And SkillsBachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in the defense manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of defense industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems.
Familiarity with inspection tools, testing equipment, and quality control methodologies.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Certification in quality control or related field is a plus.
