M1 Support Services’ Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Specialist supports and maintains the company’s HRIS application.

***Please note: this position is neither remote, nor hybrid. It is a Mon-Fri in-office position.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS.

• Provides technical support, troubleshooting, guidance and training to HRIS users.

• Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation.

• Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.

• Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.

• Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.

• Compiles or assists with the acquisition of standard and complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.

• Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.

• Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.

• Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field desired. Other training and/or experience may be substituted for degree.

• At least three years of related experience required

• Thorough understanding of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.

• Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function

• Ability to keep information confidential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working Conditions:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
