M9 Solutions is seeking a Security Specialist to work hybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC.An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities

• Provide first-class information technology (IT) system security assessment and authorization and Zero Trust support.
• Engage with the IT programs to prepare the security body of evidence artifacts for the for the client's cyber security office.
• Aim to adapt, design, deliver, and integrate advanced technology solutions to improve data sharing, exploitation, and analysis.
• Understand project requirements to prepare necessary documentation to describe client IT systems and improve the Zero Trust maturity of critical systems.
• Work with key business stakeholders, IT experts, and subject-matter experts to plan, and deliver solutions for specific use cases.
• Perform non-technical analyses on project issues and help to ensure technical implementations meet the projects expectations.
• Interpret business needs and project requirements as it pertains to IT system security.
• Work with the cybersecurity and policy and governance teams to ensure compliance with oversight responsibilities.
• Perform non-technical analyses on project issues and help to ensure technical implementations follow expectations.
• Partner with product owners and product development teams for systems being development for the client.
• Develop and maintain artifacts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Work Authorization: ship is required.
• An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related technical field with 2 years demonstrated cybersecurity experience.
• An active Cybersecurity IAT Level 2 or IAM Level 3 certification is required.
• Solid understanding of risk management framework requirements.
• Knowledge of body of evidence artifacts, to include system concept of operations, system security plans, worksheets, privileged user guides, continuity plans, and other artifacts, as required by the system ISSO.
• Experience working with improving Zero Trust maturity of IT systems.
• Proficient organization and communication skills.
• Comfortable with daily client engagement.
• Experience with cybersecurity, risk management, stakeholder management, effective team communication, product management, Agile, client engagement, information sharing, intelligence community, and requirements management is required.
• Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community and the intel cycle.
• Experience in providing security support in a predominantly Agile environment.
• Experience working with systems engineering functions including operations concept development, system and product design, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control.
• Knowledge of and experience working in requirements management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, Agile Manager, etc.).

• M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
