Position Overview:

Maü Miami is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences. As the Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, service, and health and safety compliance.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor and manage staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
• Support the development and implementation of strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Assist in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control measures.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure consistency and excellence in food presentation and taste.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety codes and employment laws.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Step in for the General Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager or in a similar managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and improving guest satisfaction.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ServSafe, Food Handler’s Certification) are a plus.
