In General:The Materials and Purchasing Coordinator oversees and manages overall aircraft material operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of organization's supply chain, collaborates with multiple-functional managers to plan and execute material conformity and readiness, manages and monitors vendor's qualification and performance to ensure they meet the company's requirements and is responsible for creating, issuing and receiving Purchase Orders through the company ERP.Essential Duties:The Materials and Purchasing Coordinator is directly responsible for:-Auditing production specifications (work instruction cards, engineering orders, etc.) to determine the approved products (consumable materials, solvents, aircraft stripper, etc.) required to support aircraft painting;-Managing material inventories in support of aircraft painting production (min/ max analysis, stock control, sourcing, and purchasing, etc.) in compliance with regulatory standards;-Ensuring material conformity and traceability throughout the production process;-Validating the applicability of relevant technical data, including the MSDS and TDS, and ensuring the necessary reference information is on hand at all times;-Communicating material status, including lead times, shortages, and surpluses to internal and external stakeholders using required forms;-Staging aircraft material to meet the daily needs of production;-Allocating project spends using the company’s ERP software system;-Managing suppliers, including sourcing, negotiating contracts and pricing, and conducting routine performance evaluations;-Reporting on the per aircraft performance of the materials group as well as the monthly spends across all suppliers/ vendors;-Overseeing the overall security and operation of all technical rooms, including consumable stores, tool rooms, paint stores and paint mixing, and aviation graphics; and-Performing cost analysis on each aircraft and placing replenishment orders to maintain stock levels-Ensuring material conformity and traceability throughout the production process;-Performing monthly cost analysis on equipment usage and placing replenishment orders to maintain stock-Shipping any outgoing packages for various departments.-Issuing and managing POs for all costs on the company’s ERP software.-Maintaining organized records of all paperwork pertaining to the functions of materials and purchasing.-Tracking and reporting on relevant KPI’sSecondary Duties:The Materials and Purchasing Coordinator may be assigned various secondary duties, including but not limited to the following:-Participating with colleagues from other business units to perform additional tasks necessary for the continued operation of the facility.-Additional duties as required by management.Additional Requirements and Guidelines:-At least 18 years old at the time of application.-Must be able to work shifts including nights and weekends as needed.-Must be able to work overtime as needed.-Eligible for employment within the US.-Willing to submit to a drug and alcohol screen.-Willing to submit to a background check.-High School Diploma or GED.-Ability to see clearly with or without lenses.-Ability to hear clearly with or without aids.-Must comply with all company rules, policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Physical Demands:-Must be able to move around the office and plant throughout the day and reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch occasionally.-Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists to grab and hold heavy equipment-Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders & ramps).-Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
