The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading.Position Description: Maas Energy Works (MEW) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Intern to join our team. Job duties will include but are not limited to maintaining sites (including cleanup and landscaping), coordinating/performing, vehicle maintenance, equipment procurement, on-site safety equipment installations, online research, data entry and assistance with site inspections. The intern will play a critical role in ensuring that our renewable energy projects, particularly those involving anaerobic digesters on dairy farms, comply with all safety regulations and industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector while contributing to meaningful sustainability initiatives.Responsibilities:Assist with site inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.Source, and procure safety and compliance equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), safety signage, and other essential items.Enter and manage data related to safety inspections, corrective actions, and equipment maintenance.Provide support to the Safety & Compliance team as needed.Install and maintain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, safety signage, and gas detectors on MEW sites.Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and compliance.Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs.Assist with site maintenance, such as removing debris and vegetation, and pressure washing. Qualifications & Skills:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.Interest in safety regulations and compliance requirements in the renewable energy sector.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to travel to project sites as needed.Clean/Valid state issued driver’s license.Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
