ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Involves working in factory environment which includes saw dust, heat, noise, fiberglass, electrical wiring and working at heights.
• Troubleshoots machinery and facility breakdowns and perform or direct repairs.
• Rebuilds pumps, pneumatic tools, power tools and process equipment.
• Inventory/Parts control
• Ensures startup of all pumps and process equipment for daily operation.
• Complete PM's on schedule.
• Involves some metal fabrication when needed.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment.
• Maintains a professional courteous manner.
• Follows established company policies and those outlined in the employee handbook.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform a wide variety work in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
• Effectively and safely operate forklift, scissor lift and various tools as required.
• May involve on-the-job- travel.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Requires knowledge as evidenced by high school diploma and college or trade school experience.
• Possess electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic trouble shooting skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.

Physical Demands:

• Demands a relatively high degree of concentration and attention intermittently to troubleshoot and perform needed repairs.
• Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires activities involving moving machinery, exposure to changes in temperature, and exposure to dust, and fumes.
• Work with electrical wiring and piping systems at elevated heights
• Requires ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs and step ladders.
• Must be able to wear respirator and protective clothing.
