General Description
This position provides scripting, PL/SQL, and some Linux expertise to the Program and Budget Enterprise System (PBES) at the Pentagon in Washington DC. This program provides software development and Sustainment Help Desk Support to the PBES user community on a daily basis. Specifically, the successful candidate will assist with the Sustainment Help Desk and support the daily system operation of various components of Oracle's EPM software solution, providing technical support to address system and data issues that inhibit production processing. In addition, the successful candidate will support the sustainment of the contractor's software development environment, providing Linux operating system expertise to ensure the operational readiness of the development environment. Lastly, the successful candidate may be asked to assist with the upgrade of the current version of RedHat Linux to Version 7 and beyond.
Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and/or modify scripts and PL/SQL routines to assist with the execution of the production PBES application.
• Provide routine, on-site support to the Sustainment Help Desk, resolving user issues and problems ranging from application-generated data issues to application and operating system configuration changes.
• Provide Redhat Linux expertise to the system administrators of the production application, recommending changes in configuration parameters that result in a more stable processing environment.
• Provide Redhat Linux solution support to the contractor development environment.
• Assist with software installations, patches, and upgrades.
• Monitor system performance, security, data integrity, and optimal use of resources.
• Perform diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Ensure data/media recoverability by performing system backups and database archive operations.

Specialized Knowledge
The successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in the following areas:

• Knowledge of Oracle's EPM software, specifically DRM, Hyperion, or OBIEE is highly preferred.
• Developing script, Kron jobs, and PL/SQL routines.
• Experienced in interfacing with technical, functional, and senior system program personnel.
• Experience studying and analyzing systems or process problems and the needs of selected programs to determine how to best solve the problems.
• Experience with RedHat Linux.

Education
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business.
Professional Certifications
An active CompTIA Security certification is required.
Clearance
Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Citizenship
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Skills and Abilities
Strong Problem Solving, producing positive outcomes and Return on Investment (ROI) for the Federal government.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members.
Working conditions, including location
The Pentagon, Washington DC with occasional ability to work remotely.
Client duty hours are Monday through Friday.
