The Safety Coordinator monitors workplace activities to promote and ensure employee compliance with applicable company and OSHA safety regulations in the Midwest, Eastern, and Central States regions. This position will create a safety culture for all employees by training managers and employees, along with conducting safety meetings and creating safety committees.

Duties/Responsibilities include the following:

• Coordinates the safety and security programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of implemented safety and security programs.
• Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
• Submits recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.
• Stops operations and activities that could harm staff or equipment.
• Shares environmental safety information with appropriate levels in the organization.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
• Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
• Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.
• Manage insurance claims for assigned regions to include working with TPA agents
• Assist locations with accident investigations on reported incidents.
• Work directly with managers to assist with injured employees' return to work program.
• Reviews annual/quarterly/monthly safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
• Conducts site audits every 2 years and on an as-needed basis.
• Encourage Safety Culture with employees and managers
• Manage OSHA files for assigned regions
• Update/Maintain standard safety manual for MacArthur
• Assist with managing the DOT Truck Fleet
• Attend one Risk Management TPA workshop per year
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least five years of safety and/or security experience is required
• Advanced training or certification in safety and security (preferred)
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred, but can be provided
• Ability to travel to branches within the region to conduct safety inspections
• Must be able to travel via plane or car to designated branch locations within the United States

This is an in-office position at our corporate office in Saint Paul.

Starting pay is $35.58 per hour.
