Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Controls Specialist to ensure the effectiveness of our internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust internal control framework with a strong emphasis on IT controls.
• Lead and manage SOX compliance efforts, including the design, documentation, and testing of internal controls.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential control weaknesses and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, Accounting, and other departments to ensure controls are integrated into business processes effectively.
• Prepare and present reports on internal control effectiveness and SOX compliance to senior management.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors during SOX audits and address any deficiencies or recommendations.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on internal control procedures and SOX requirements.
• Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to SOX and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, and IT audit.
• Strong understanding of IT general controls, application controls, and RPA familiarity.
• Proven track record in managing and executing SOX audits and ensuring compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
