Floor Scrubber Operator

Machine Specialties, LLC is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company that designs and manufactures sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients’ most demanding challenges. Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, about 8 miles outside of Greensboro, NC.

We are currently seeking a Floor Scrubber Operator to join our Maintenance Team. The Floor Scrubber Operator is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards by operating floor scrubbing equipment to clean and polish floors in our facility. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will be positive in nature and interact well with production team members and others. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate floor scrubbing machine to clean, polish, remove dirt, debris and oil from floors.

• Use appropriate cleaning solutions and chemicals following the manufacturer’s guidelines.

• Spot-clean areas as needed to handle spills and stubborn oil leaks.

• Inspect and maintain floor scrubber equipment before and after each use.

• Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

• Ensure machines are cleaned, charged, and stored properly after each shift.

• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

• Maintain clear and safe walkways, especially in high-traffic areas on the blue line.

• Track and request cleaning supplies as needed to ensure sufficient stock.

• Refill and properly store cleaning solutions and chemicals.

• Report any safety hazards, damages, or repairs needed to the manager.

Required Training/Education/Experience:

• Previous experience operating floor scrubbing or cleaning equipment, preferred.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications may be advantageous.
