Description
Mackin Educational Resources is a well-established, highly respected company that has openings for Bindery Machine Operators 2nd Shift at its Topeka, KS Bindery.
Responsibilities

• Operate various bindery equipment which may include cutting, folding, scoring, stitching, and gluing tools
• Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed
• Perform routine adjustments as well as perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift
• Check order documentation, verify accuracy, and communicate order information and additional instructions to support staff in order to prepare for order production
• Follow established procedure to run product through assigned machine to produce expected quality and quantity

Requirements

• Ability to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, stand during entire shift, use fingers, hands, and arms continuously in a controlled motion
• Capability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
• Previous Bindery Machine Operator experience a plus

Education & Experience

• High School or GED

Hours

• Full-time - 2nd Shift (3:30pm - 12:00am) on Monday through Friday
• Weekends and Overtime as needed

Wages

• $17.50 per hour
