Mackin Talent is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support our client in Sunnyvale, CA in a contract hourly onsite position. Mackin’s client is creating the software and devices platform for the future of gaming—specifically cloud game streaming and core gaming on mobile devices.

This is a 6 month contract with potential for conversion to a permanent employee with the client depending on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Understands design and is able to work with electronic systems and firmware.
• Be able to solder or take classes to solder on EE Board circuits and solder parts to help with the proto team.
• Design and implement firmware systems to interact with various hardware to drive/control electronic and electro/mechanical devices
• Program various microprocessors using low level languages (predominantly C / C) so should be able to understand.
• Analyze, diagnose, and debug existing code. Write and execute testing plans.
• Electronics assessment, embedded system assessment, design, simulation, review, manufacturing and assembly support, debug, test, and written reports and documentation
• Operate as the sole EE/FW technician on cross-functional engineering project teams: demonstrate confidence.
• Have a willingness and aptitude to work on either EE or FW only projects, depending on current need

Expected Pay: $40/hr
