Title: Financial Controller

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States

CPA License Mandatory

Responsibilities:Primary responsibility for a department of four revenue accountants. The Financial Controller will report to the CFO. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Prepare annual Financial Statements using a modified completed contract method of accounting.
• Prepare weekly cash flow summaries for the owner.
• Assist with the accounting and financial issues of approximately 10 other owner-related entities.
• Provide accounting guidance for the revenue processing function and well-working interest calculations.
• Oversee outsourced payroll for approximately 50-60 employees in two locations.
• Oversee accounts payable function and other owner-related entities.
• Supervise expense reporting and American Express accounting.
• Oversee and manage corporate and health insurance needs.
• Assist with the possible Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) transition.

Skills & Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant
• High comprehension of oil & gas accounting, specifically partnership revenue distributions.
• Proficient in recognizing, analyzing and solving issues. Attention to detail is imperative.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work seamlessly amongst fellow team members, investing partners and operators.
• Quickbooks Enterprise, Excel. Currently using SherWare for revenue processing but will train on its functionality.
