Job Description

Job Description
We are looking for an Acquisition Compliance Specialist to support an opportunity at the General Services Administration. The Acquisition Compliance Specialist will manage tasks and acquisition life cycle compliance activities in accordance with GSA AAS operational notices, regulations, and agency policies and mandates to improve the quality of government contract management efforts.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reviews of contract documents, files and processes for compliance with various regulations, mandates, and notices.
  • Document contract reviews in an effort to expedite remediation concerns.
  • Support the Integrated Project Team (IPT) in compliance reviews and remediation.
  • Support the IPT by performing administrative support for multiple, concurrent projects. Examples include performance management, financial tracking, deliverables management, quality assurance/surveillance, and compliance support.
  • Support activities in the ASSIST platform including contract file administration and other reporting, maintain adequate records in Google Drive, as well as support ECF maintenance with renaming, reorganizing and uploading documents. 
  • Develop any necessary and approved artifacts to include:
  1. Responses to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests 
  1. Creating or Sanitizing Templates 
  1. Corrective Action Plans 
  1. Trends Analysis 
 
  • Identify gaps in compliance efforts and implement remediation activities.
  • Assist with design and implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
 
  • 8 years of contract work experience based on the Contract Specialist (GS-1102) Qualification Standards
Knowledge of:
 
  • Performance-Based Contracts
  • FOIA process
  • Principles and practices of procurement 
  • Principles and practices of contract preparation and administration 
  • Principles and techniques of contract negotiation 
  • Methods and techniques of developing procurement and contract standards. 
  • Principles and practices of contract administration
Skills/Abilities:
 
  • Preparing and maintaining contracts, specifications, and service agreements 
  • Coordinating structured solicitation activities 
  • Assisting in contract negotiations 
  • Interpreting technical plans and specifications 
  • Developing contract specifications and scope of work 
  • Performing a variety of contract administration duties 
  • Researching and analyzing contract terms and conditions
