Responsibilities:

To help us meet our mission LOTTE BIOLOGICS is in need of a Sr Manager, Quality Control (QC) In-Process who is responsible for responsible for the management of QC laboratory operations that support the onsite commercial biologics manufacturing facility and client testing. The Sr. Manager, QC is responsible for coordination of routine testing activities and lab-based project work. This position is accountable for ensuring a safe, quality driven culture, while ensuring timely delivery and robust performance.

Duties/Responsibilities :

• Provides multi-level management to coordinate the daily operation of QC Laboratories.
• Defines team roles and responsibilities.
• Hires, integrates, and develops high quality talent.
• Provides developmental feedback and coaching.
• Provides collaborative internal and external customer support.
• Individual will demonstrate familiarity with scientific techniques and practices within laboratory test types
• Ensures the highest level of quality testing, documentation and reporting.
• Provides leadership of laboratory staff
• Supports technical transfer and co-validation activities.
• Provides project management and support to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Minimum BS degree in scientific area with 8 years of related experience.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, etc:

• Expert level applied knowledge and in-depth understanding of analytical techniques and data evaluation (preferred)
• Demonstrated Leadership ability
• Ability to interpret and apply cGMPs, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
• Demonstrated ability to develop and empower junior personnel
• Prior experience supporting regulatory inspections (preferred)
• Working knowledge of laboratory database applications

Physical Demands:

This position is an office and laboratory-based position, which may require repetitive use of arms/hands/wrists, especially when working with a computer. Lifting (not to exceed 50lbs), bending, twisting, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing on step-stools, and Reaching may be required.

Work Environment:

This position is an office and laboratory-based position. This role will require the donning of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for entry into laboratory spaces. This role may require contact with biohazardous materials such as hazardous chemicals including acids, and caustics. This position is based indoors, and you will primarily be working with others, but also independently at times.

Travel:

This position requires up to 5% of travel

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Will supervise a direct staff of 4-10 employees. Responsible for proving feedback, coaching and performance evaluations to each direct report.
