The Macon R-1 School District is seeking an Academic Lab Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year.
Extra Duty positions may be available when filling secondary positions.

- Valid Missouri Teaching Certification
- Knowledgeable in behavioral management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Lead and oversee the Academic Lab utilized by credit recovery students, online Accounting students, online dual credit courses, and students in in-school suspension.
- Collaborate with High School administration to accommodate individual needs of students in the Academic Lab.
- Develop and implement a firm, fair, and consistent behavior management plan for students in in-school suspension.
- Administrate and oversee all forms of instruction and learning in the Academic Lab, including our online instructional resources.
- Monitor student progress toward completion of credits and submit grades to the Guidance Office.
- Uses time wisely, is organized, and works well with others.
- Communicates effectively with classroom teachers.
- Maintains documentation on the progress of each student that is shared with the HS Office and Guidance Office.
- Establishes a positive and supportive mentorship of students and encourages independent functioning rather than dependency when appropriate.
- Supports established building, classroom, and behavior management procedures.
- Maintains ethical behavior and confidentiality in the conduct of district business.
- Pursues and conducts professional development related to this position.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
