Job Title Group Fitness Trainer
About MADabolic:
MADabolic is THE Strength Gym. In a culture saturated with “the next big fitness trend” consider us renegades. No fads or gimmicks, we simply execute what works. Our signature system of intervals is backed by science and years of professional athletic experience. 50 minutes. 4x/week. Unmatched results.
Our Key Differentiators:
· Universal top-down programming designed 365 days in advance
· Hands-on trainers, providing a 1:1 training experience in a group setting, not motivational cheerleaders
· Emphasis on repetition over variety
· Results-driven approach that’s rooted in fixed science...what we do will always work
Role Summary:
Athletic. Strong. Knowledgable. Charismatic. BADASS.
These are a few adjectives that describe a MADabolic trainer.
Trainers at MAD are known for being the best in the industry. Rather than yelling motivational phrases into a microphone, you provide 1:1 movement corrections. Instead of cheering on clients to get one more rep, you teach them to move with proper form and lift heavy.
As a MADabolic trainer, you know that the relationships you form with clients are equally, if not more, important than the workout itself. You aim to be the best part of your client's day by greeting them by name in the lobby, taking a genuine interest in their lives, and giving them a world-class experience on the training floor.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Up to $70 per class depending on experience and class attendance
· Free membership to take classes at ANY MADabolic location
· Employee discount on all retail items (apparel, FitAids, SFH protein, Barebell protein bars, etc.)
· Leadership and growth opportunities
Qualifications and Skills:
· Must have an accredited training certification (StrongFirst Kettlebell Level 1, BioForce Conditioning, USA Weightlifting, CrossFit Level 1, NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.) - not required at the time of application, but required before you can teach classes
· Must be CPR certified
· Must have the physical strength and cardiovascular endurance to pass a rigorous fitness test out
· Quality movement patterns and natural athleticism
· Excellent interpersonal skills- can talk to a wall!
· Infectious energy that commands a room of 25 clients, whether it is 5:30am or 6:30pm!
· Always striving to get better and learn more by being coachable and open to feedback
· Weekend availability required
· Ability to travel to Charlotte, NC for a 2-day mid-week training camp
· Belief in the MADabolic brand and our philosophy on fitness and nutrition:
· 6-Week fitness and nutrition challenges can die
· Strength Training > Cardio
· Rest and recovery are just as important as training
· One-on-one corrections > Cheerleading during class
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Coach a minimum of 2 MADabolic classes per week
· Adequately prepare for class by memorizing and rehearsing the delivery of the workout, focus, and movements
· Explain how to perform each movement correctly and demonstrate each movement perfectly
· Identify movement flaws and provide 1:1 corrections to clients during the workout
· Maintain a clean, organized, and structured training floor
· Practice what you preach by training at MAD 4x every week
· Live the #MADlifestyle!
